OnePlus 9 Pro Hands-On: Refinement Is The Key
The OnePlus 9 Pro launched today, and I've been using it since last week. The review is coming in the about future, but before that, here's our OnePlus nine Pro hands-on coverage. I've had some time to cheque out the phone, and to grade an initial stance.
And so, if you lot've used the OnePlus eight Pro, this phone won't experience all that much different. The two devices have a similar weight to them, and they're also quite like when it comes to overall dimensions.
The OnePlus 9 Pro hands-on experience has been quite positive thus far
What yous will notice, though, is that the brandish is less curved on the OnePlus ix Pro, and that'south something I do appreciate. The phone is, once once again, made out of metal and glass, and I've received the "Morning Mist" variant for review.
This is the top-of-the-line OnePlus 9 Pro model, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, this variant does come with a reflective glass on the back, equally information technology's silver-colored.
Fingerprints and smudges found their way onto this phone'southward back rather quickly. I practise use a example with the phone, which is included in the retail box, by the way. Then, fingerprints are not much of an issue if you're planning on doing the same thing.
The phone came with a prissy safety case
The OnePlus nine Pro does ship with a nice rubber case, which is gray-colored. You can run into in the gallery below the article. Information technology feels nicer than your regular silicone case which ships with the OnePlus 9.
It's prissy of OnePlus to include a example in the retail box, that'due south for sure. The telephone also comes with a 65W charger included, which is also commendable, as several smartphone OEMs stopped including chargers with their flagship offerings.
If yous like larger phones, chances are you'll like this handset
The OnePlus 9 Pro feels actually good in the hand, as long as you lot don't mind larger phones. I've noticed that the top part of the smartphone is a flake heavier than the lesser one, probably due to the phone'due south camera setup. There are five cameras included in the pinnacle part, and two of them are quite large.
Speaking of which, there are four cameras included on the back, and you'll also find the Hasselblad branding dorsum there. OnePlus partnered with Hasselblad here, and the company mostly helped with the color science of photos. That is noticeable in photographic camera samples, though we'll talk more than about that in a separate post.
The phone'due south bezels are quite sparse, while a display camera pigsty sits in the top-left corner. I got used to brandish camera holes, so it doesn't bother me all that much, only your feelings may be different.
OxygenOS is as expert as ever
All in all, I've enjoyed using the telephone thus far. The design is really good, premium, while the software experience has been more than good thus far. I always have a practiced time with OxygenOS, as it's clean, fast, and filled with useful features.
On the OnePlus 9 Pro, OxygenOS is more responsive than ever. That 6.7-inch LTPO brandish with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate has a really loftier touch sampling rate, and it's just a joy to employ, to say the to the lowest degree.
We'll talk more about the device in our full review, which is coming soon. It has been a corking experience thus far, though that was to be expected. Top-of-the-line specs, dandy functioning, extremely fast charging, premium build, so on. The OnePlus 9 Pro tries to deliver on basically all fronts.
